Belonging to a generation of artists who strive to reanimate mundane household items, Tony Feher has been creating restrained yet playful sculptures and installations using such common materials as colored tape, metal and plastic strapping, string, and filled or partially filled plastic bottles since the early 1990s. Seeing something remarkable in everyday phenomena, Feher is able to create poetry with the most mundane objects. Focusing on the objects themselves, Feher succeeds in evoking in plastic bottles, for instance, their plastic bottle-ness.
