In conjunction with Drawn to Excellence, Museum Members are invited to a series of special talks by Museum staff in conjunction with this rare exhibition.
On April 23, Stephanie Wiles, the Richard J. Schwartz Director, will take a closer look at the practice of collectors adding their personal marks to the works they collect, and how the presence of a famous collector's mark can assure a drawing's quality, add to its value, or help scholars verify its age.
This event is free to Johnson Museum Members, but space is limited. Call 607-255-6464 to RSVP by April 18
This series has been funded in part by a grant from the Robert Lehman Foundation.
