Thank you for your interest in the exhibition Byrdcliffe: An American Arts and Crafts Colony. The following materials are designed to enhance your experience at the Museum by providing pre-visit lessons, suggested post-visit activities, extension exercises, research topics, and discussion points for you and your students. The pre-visit lessons reflect the major themes of the exhibition: Quest for the Handmade, Byrdcliffe as a Utopian Community, and Artists and Artisans and link directly to Social Studies and English Language Arts curriculum standards. We hope you find these materials helpful and we look forward to seeing you at the Johnson Museum of Art.
