Programs for Families:
Art-full Saturdays, Eye-Openers, Public Program Days

Every month we have a family event—usually on the first Saturday morning of the month. (Check our current schedule). These events are for kids 3-10 and an adult partner. They are free to Members and $5 per family to nonmembers.

We combine a musical, dance, or theatre performance with activities for kids 3-10 in the galleries and in the workshop rooms. This past year we've had visits from the Kitchen Theatre, Mrs. McPuppet (above), African dancers, and a gamelan orchestra.

We've explored the arts of India, Japan, Indonesia, Africa, Tibet, and Korea.

We've had scavenger hunts, and made artwork inspired by artists like Andy Goldsworthy.

Eye-opener workshops combine a look at the collection with some hands-on art activities—from the science of color (conducted by Cornell's Center for Materials Science) to this year's workshop on landscapes.
